Travel Gadget

I'm a sucker for a gadget, and if it aids travel then I'm interested.
This is a pretty cool piece of kit, Grid-It.
Only problem is it does not appear to be available outside the US... which tipples the price when you add packaging, making a minor treat quite extravagant.
Does anyone out there know if there are any UK or even European stockists?

Tent

After much research I have finally invested in a tent.

I was initially looking for lightweight backpacking tent to travel around Europe with, that is still in my sights, until then I have invested in tent I can throw in t0 my car. One with a little more space, in short more of a beginners tent.
Drum roll please for my brand new Eurohike Dart 3 (and thanks to a Millets closing down sale for a bargain price). Shown in all its glory to the right.

Admit idly I don't expect my first pitching attempt to look quite that good so there will be a few practice runs in my living room first.

I'm guessing the sunny Lake District will be one of my first stops to give this a good trial run, before then I have a pretty long list of other things I need, something to sleep on and in, cooking gear and some form of light... the list goes on and on...

Beach Towel Wars

I did have to check the date when I read this, but it seems Thomas Cook have found a great way to extract money from German tourists, allowing them to pre-book sun loungers and umbrellas for a daily price of around €3 or €49 a week.

Hats off to Thomas Cook - if people are stupid enough to pay for it!

I have better things to spend my money on and do while I'm away.

Just a little blast from the past here - the old Carling Black Label advert...

Great New Adverts

All other Airlines should take note, these are fantastic Adverts...

Qantas - Got to love the music and the airline!

Virgin Atlantic - They may be 62 years less experianced, but this one may be the best airline advert ever, memories of my younger years - Our Price Records and Wimpy... brilliant!
